Cars all loaded we set off for Poacher at around 10 o’clock this morning. Work started on the receiving aerials and then we moved over to the masts where we have a fine array of aerials. We have the TH5 (I think that’s what it is) and a co-linear for 2M and 70CMS. On the other mast we have beams for the serious frequencies, 23CMS television, 70CMS and 2M,

Sunday is the start of the Scouts and Guides visiting our set-up, they will get an introduction to amateur radio, listen to QSOs and send greetings messages, probably send their name in Morse and listen round the bands to collect 25 stations for their communications Badge. Another fun filled date is just around the corner.
