Our spring surplus equipment sale went off without a hitch thanks to the hard work of lots of club members. Steve M5ZZZ / G6TVP doing double duty as hotdog chef and auctioneer. The sale put a good bit of money into club funds and a good day was had by all who attended.

Anyone bringing a very large amount of equipment to go in the sale please arrive with plenty of time for us to ticket it all. Usual refreshments will be available.

We had our regular visitors from surrounding clubs and counties and a few new faces. To try and make the Surplus Equipment Sale Covid safe, the lots will be displayed in a marque with the sides open to allow for plenty of ventilation and the sale will be in the village hall with socially distanced seating and all doors open again allowing for plenty of ventilation. Your safety is our priority. To achieve this the lads went to the club this afternoon to erect the marquee (big tent really) ready for displaying the lots tomorrow. Two working parties at the club this morning, Roger G3PVU and Steve M5ZZZ were in the shack sorting out and testing some of the surplus equipment for the sale on 10th October; they were moving so fast the first photo blurred!! Then there was work to be done on the antennas and this party consisted of Les G1LQB, Andy M0IYE, David M7OYN, Daron 2E0GFY and Martin M0TNM.
