Foundation Course Success

Another successful day at the Village Hall with 7 members of the Lincs 4×4 Response Group passing their Foundation Examination. It was touch and go whether or not this examination would take place as members of the group had been put onto standby by the Red Cross and Lincs Resilience Forum for potential flooding on the bank of the Humber. Luckily the Humber behaved itself. Amateur Radio exam successes

Successful Foundation and Intermediate Examinations were held at the Club today 5th November 2016 when Joe M6LLP passed his Intermediate Exam and Francis, Nathan, Alex and Stephen passed their Foundation Exam. Foundation Course

Our Secretary needs to have all paperwork completed by Wednesday 12th October. She will be available on Wednesdays 5th and 12th October to complete the necessary paperwork.

Foundation Licence Course

 Lincoln Short Wave Club is pleased to announce a new Foundation Licence Course to be held at Aisthorpe Village Hall on Saturday the 29th of October for two Saturdays, with the Exam being held on the second Saturday afternoon. The Foundation Licence is the entry level to Amateur Radio, that allows you transmit on the Amateur Bands with a power of 10 watts. More information here. Intermediate Exam

It was another successful day in the Village Hall today with all five candidates passing their Intermediate Examination; this is, of course, subject to confirmation by the Examination Department at the RSGB. Intermediate Course

Following the success of the recent Foundation Course

Following the recent foundation course several of the successful candidates attended the club on December 5th where Ian G4EVK explained the radio equipment in the shack; then Pam G4STO provided light refreshments (hotdogs) and sold Intermediate Course booklets in readiness for an Intermediate Course planned for the New Year.   Steve M5ZZZ followed this by giving details of the club activities and Bob G7AVU concluded the proceedings with a talk about the repeaters.
