Dave Bloomfield G0KUC the man behind the super successful GB80LAN Special event stations that took place in March this year commemorating the first operational use of the Lancaster Bomber has kindly donated a Plaque for us to display at East Kirkby marking our clubs participation in the event.

Dave being a gluten for punishment is also organising for next May the ##80DAM event where amateur radio clubs in this country and in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and America with connections to the Dambusters will commemorate operation chastise. As our club does every year but on an international scale for this 80th anniversary, we will be taking part from the IBCC with an educational family day and of course from Scampton.

I am sure we all extend our thanks to Dave for his hard work and for presenting us with this plaque.
