If you call at the shack you will be forgiven for thinking nothing had been done but you would be wrong. The mission today was to move the shed at the back of the shack, not a five-minute job. Once moved the fence can be finished.
Helpers today were, in alphabetical callsign order: G1LQB, M0IYE, M5SJM, M5ZZZ, M7OYN and M7RSF. G4STO was also there but her job is to take photographs.
Heavy duty rachet straps were placed around the shack and fixed to Les’ van but it was impossible to move it full so it had to be emptied which also wasn’t a five-minute job!!
Once emptied tension was put on the straps but again no movement was made. Thinking caps on and heads scratched
then with the aid of a shovel, a couple of heavy metal bars and two gas cylinders and the heavy duty rachet straps the shed moved sufficiently enough to get between the shed and fence; success.
The contents were then returned to the shed.
