Started by Tim G5TM and Richard M6KFI started as they just wanted to have some fun on 2m. Tim enjoyed times on 11m where they held nets on the air talking to many people joined in.

With the falling popularity in 2m operation Tim decided to try and bring this to 2m by organising a number of nets across the country each run by voulenteers to the event.. A number of events have been run so far with it rising in popularity each time.

The nets are run on 2m FM Simplex with the frequencies coordinated to avoid each net causing interference to each other.

The next 145 alive event is planned for the 11th May 2024 and our Chairman Steve M5ZZZ has agreed to control a net this time round from his QTH. He should be on air, along with the other stations listed below, from 1300 to 1500 BST.

A lot of the other stations set up on high ground so join in with the even and see how many nets you can contact!
