Club President

At their Annual General Meeting on the 18th May 2024 the members elected a new President, Peter Kendall M0EJL. Peter replaces John Birkett G8OPP who was President from 1979 until his death in April 2022. Peter has been an active member of the club for almost 25 years, he served on the committee for a number of years and was Chairman for five years. Also at the AGM the following members were re-elected/elected onto the Committee: Steve, M5ZZZ – ChairmanPam, G4STO – SecretaryStephen, M5SJM – TreasurerRoger, G3PVULes, G1LQBMary, G6SWZMarc, M7DEUGraham, M1DHVDavid, M6OYNAlistair, M0TEF

Affiliated membership of the Royal Air force Amateur Radio Society

Following the decision earlier in the year that Lincoln Shortwave Radio Club should affiliate to RAFARS due to our involvement at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre and many other activities like the annual Dambusters SES the club has now been officially affiliated to the RAFARS. Many thanks to Vince Lewis G4DQP for setting this up for us.

Annual General Meeting

A Brief History of Lincoln Short Wave Club

Roger, G3PVU, has been sorting through notes written by the late Colin, G3MUL, and has written in detail ‘A Brief History of The Lincoln Short Wave Club’.  Unfortunately due to lockdown and not being able to get to the club Roger has only been able to write the history up to 1961 as later records are at the club.
