Continue reading →This weekend 24th-27th the LSWC will be active with the Lincoln and Gainsborough Scouts at the Lost Village using the callsign GB0LV. The Scouts will be camping there over the weekend and LSWC Members will be allowing scouts to experience amateur radio throughout the weekend. The Lost Village is located in a secluded woodland near the village of Norton Disney, Lincolnshire. Please QSL via M1DHV by sending a stamped addressed envelope. His address is available on his QRZ.
Continue reading →Started by Tim G5TM and Richard M6KFI started as they just wanted to have some fun on 2m. Tim enjoyed times on 11m where they held nets on the air talking to many people joined in. With the falling popularity in 2m operation Tim decided to try and bring this to 2m by organising a number of nets across the country each run by voulenteers to the event.. Continue reading →On Saturday 31st March the first BBQ of the year was held for all Members. It was very well organized by Steve M5ZZZ, Marc M7DEU and Pam G4STO. Marc Manned the BBQ along with Linda. Producing some excellent Burgers and Sausages. With Side salads, potatoes, onions, sauces andcheesecakes all available in the Village Hall. Pam organised the Easter Quiz which went down very well with the winning team going home with their prised Easter eggs. The Lincoln Shortwave Club is proud to announce that they will be attending The FirPark Free Show, GB5FPS, on the 8th & 9th of June and FirPark Wings and Wheels, GB5WW, on the 24th – 26th August. The Club has attended this event for a number of years now demonstrating Amateur Radio to the public. This year we will be demonstrating HF Voice, Data Modes, VHF, Satellite Operation and also QO100 DATV and Voice. It was a good turnout on Wednesday for Pam’s Quiz Night with 11 teams taking part, unfortunately not many with the right answers!!!! Les G1LQB and David M6OYN and Stephen M5SJM and Kat were joint winners with 9 points each, Les and David won on a tie break, luckily there were enough prizes for all four winners. Les G1LQB and David M6OYN After the quiz members enjoyed a lite buffet. Food, glorious food, sorry no chicken skewer.

As many of you will know we have just had the National Hamfest 2022 and as one of the contributing clubs we had members there as part of the the volunteering team.
